Pregnancy Symptoms
Although every woman is different, there are a number of symptoms you may notice if you are pregnant.
However, a pregnancy test and a visit with an OB/GYN are the best ways to find out for sure if you are pregnant.
Missed period
If your menstrual cycle is already irregular, this may not be the best indicator of pregnancy. However, if your period is regular, a missed period may be the first sign that you’re pregnant.
Spotting
When the fertilized egg attaches to the uterine lining, light spotting can occur. It is known as implantation bleeding, and not every woman experiences it.
Fatigue
When you’re pregnant, the body is producing progesterone, a hormone that helps with pregnancy and can make you tired.
Morning sickness
Morning sickness can actually happen anytime, day or night. Not every woman has morning sickness, and some women have it throughout their pregnancy.
Mood swings
The cause of mood swings during pregnancy can be anything from hormones to stress and fatigue. This is a common side effect for many pregnant women.
Tender breasts
This is another symptom caused by hormones, and it’s just part of the body preparing to feed a baby.
More frequent urination
When you’re pregnant, your body produces more blood, and your kidneys have more fluids to process. The extra fluids find their way to your bladder, so you have to urinate more.
